Baby Bottle Campaign
The Knights of Columbus ,Council 12942, St. Brendan’s, are planning the annual Baby Bottle Campaign to begin the weekend of January 21-22. This weekend corresponds with the March for Life in DC and Atlanta on January 23. We will distribute empty baby bottles at all the week-end masses on January 21-22. Parishioners will be invited to assist in raising money for the Whispering Hope We are asking that people fill up the bottles with loose change or a check and return them at weekend masses on February 4-5, 2012. Respect Life March in Atlanta
The Knights of Columbus, Council 12942, St. Brendan’s will lead a contingent of parishioners to attend 10am Mass for the Unborn at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception as well as participate in the Silent Memorial March at the Capitol Steps in Atlanta. Participants will be asked to meet in the Church parking lot at 8:15 am. Rather than use a bus, we will carpool to the Marta station on GA 400. Participants will be encouraged to bring a lunch or buy one on their own. We would then return as a group about 3PM. | Sunday | Jan 29 | 1:00 | St. Brendan’s Knights of Columbus Council, will host a community Basketball Free Throw Contest for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14. All youth participants are welcome. Bring a friend! The event will be held in the City of Cumming, Dobbs Creek Recreation Facility on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Onsite registration will begin at 1:00 pm and the contest will promptly start at 1:30 pm and end around 3 pm. |
